General Characteristics:

The project involves Hydraulic and Civil Works to draw Potable and Irrigation water from al Madiq spring (Naher Ibrahim) to cities and villages of the Kesrouane Coastal and Eastern areas. It covers cities as Akaibi, bouar, Assafra, tabarja, Jouneih, Zouk Mossbeh, Adma, Kfarahbab, Sahel Alma, Haret Sakher, Harissa, Ghosta.

Works Comprises:

  1. 120 Kms of Main Transmission popes as well as water distribution networks.
  2. A Tunnel, 4Kms long and 3.8 meters in diameter will be excavated in predominately Karstic limestone formations utilizing a Robbins T.B.M. – An unprecedented use in Lebanon – Upon completion of excavation and ground support of the tunnel, water pipes will be installed and laid to convey the potable water from Al Madiq Spring to the Kesrouane Area.
  3. The Construction and Rehabilitation of existing facilities: Reservoirs, wells, pumping stations, as well as the construction of all related mechanical and electrical installations.
  4. The Drilling and Equipping of the wells in the river of the Naher Ibrahim as well as the rehabilitation of the Madiq Spring Catchment.

The Project:

Work involved the conveying of water from Moughar & Toufaha springs to all villages from the north of Bteday to the south of Tamnine al Tahta.

It required a Water Treatment station with a pressurized rapid sand filter system.

Two stations were constructed:

Station 1: 4 Tanks

Capacity: 650 m3/hour

Station 2: 1 Tank

Capacity: 60 m3/hour

Other characteristics:

  • 23 Reservoirs.
  •  2 Boosters.
  • 74 kms of Transmission land pipelines of ductile iron ranging from 4 inches up to 16 inches.
  • 206 kms of Distribution Networks to draw water from Tamnin, Shamstar & Bednayel boreholes to respectively Tamnin, Shamstar & Bednayel Reservoirs.

300 kms of Distributaries:

  • With 1.5, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 & 10 inches in diameter.

The Project:

To supply all villages in the high Metn district with drinkable water.

Works & all associated structures were taken for conveying water from Bmariam wells to Falougha reservoirs.

It required the installation of 30 kms of land pipelines of ductile iron of different dimensions up to 12 inches in diameter.

The Project:

Works required:

  • A Distribution system comprising main Transmission channels as well as Distributaries.
  • 16 kms of land pipelines of ductile iron were installed to connect Dhour al Abadiyeh to the reservoir located at Radar Bayssour.

Distributaries were carried out to connect directly the main-transmission land pipelines to all Reservoirs.

10 kms of channels were installed.

All pipelines are respectively 4, 8, 12, 16, & 20 inches in diameter.

The Project:

The Project involved mainly the Rehabilitation of existing facilities:

  • The Pumping Station on the Litani river increasing its capacity from 500 m3 to 10.000 m3 per day.
  • The Water Treatment Station at Al Taybeh.
  • The Transmission land pipelines linking the Pumping Station to the Water Treatment facility.

As well as the construction of a new road connecting Al Taybeh city to the Pumping Station.

The Project conveys Drinkable water to 30 cities & villages in the Jabal Amel area.

The Project involved the construction of:5 Reservoirs – Pre-stressed concrete / Ground level.

Ranging from 50 m3 to 200 m3 and located in the following villages: Deb’al, Kerhaya, Jayroun,Ras-el-Karem, Al Korn, A’ssyamout.

22000 L.M. of land pipelines of ductile iron and polyethylene, linking Ras el’Ain, Neb’eh El Kabir,& Neb’eh Al Abydine springs to the five Reservoirs.

18000 L.M. of Distributaries of polyethylene.

A network covering all villages mentioned above.

The Project:

Involved the Rehabilitation of an existing Well, constructed in 1936, as well as the construction of a new one.

A Water Distribution System, was installed to cover the following villages: Al Khiyam, Ibel el Saki, Blat, Kley’a, Bourj el Moulouk, Jdeidat Marja’youn,Debbine, Der Mimass, Keferkella.

The Project:

Installation of flow, pressure & level meters at 93 points, on the main distribution network of the Beirut Water Authority. it also includes the installation of motorized valves remotely operated.

This project also integrates previously installed meters and transmits data to SCADA installed in Badaro and five main stations by Radio transmission.
